AIP diet recipes - The AIP diet, or Autoimmune Protocol, is a diet designed to offer help to people suffering from autoimmune diseases. This diet is used to help cure certain inflammatory problems that are triggered in the digestive system.
When the body has an autoimmune response, the immune system starts attacking itself because it cannot distinguish between healthy cells and tissues and foreign or invading bodies. There are dozens of autoimmune disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, celiac disease, lupus, and psoriasis.
The AIP diet helps eliminate foods that can worsen or trigger this disorder. The AIP diet starts with a strict elimination phase, where food that might irritate the intestine and immune system is excluded from the diet.
Over time, when the autoimmune system begins to improve, food is gradually and systematically added back to the diet. That way, dieters can analyze their sensitivity to reintroduced food, assessing whether it is healthy or dangerous depends on how the body reacts.
The key is to determine which foods are causing the problem - and permanently remove them from the diet. The ultimate goal of the AIP diet is to reorganize the immune system, reduce inflammation, and restore the intestine to a healthy state.
The following foods should be avoided on the Protokolimunimun Diet: These are foods that are thought to trigger autoimmune reactions in some people. They are completely eliminated in the initial phase.
- Egg
- Milk
- Grains
- Peas
- Legumes (including peanuts, soybeans, hummus)
- Coffee
- Chocolate
- Nuts and Seeds (including seed-based spices such as cumin and fennel)

The essence of the AIP diet is meat and vegetables, which makes it similar to the paleo diet, only worse in its limitations. For example, people who take a paleo diet can eat tomatoes and beans; foods that are restricted from autoimmune protocols.

MY TIPS:
- Think about a time frame. You should try it for at least 30 days but must consider (depending on how bad your symptoms are) to slowly reintroduce some food after being around. 6 weeks. Don't be afraid if things are going well and you don't want to "get rid of that bad luck", just walk slowly at your own pace and adjust it to what works for you, everyone is unique.
- VARIETY, VARIETY, VARIETY! Even though this is a strict diet, you can and will find a variety of foods to safely put into parameters. You might need to be creative, and hopefully, this food package will help you.
- Body-Mind, dear. If you approach the diet with a negative attitude, focusing only on what you cannot have, it will be very sad to go through. Instead, my suggestion is to approach it like an episode of Chopped (Food Network Enthusiasts?), Where you have to buy a basket of crazy food that you need to do something. Be creative, have fun, and be optimistic knowing you are trying something positive to help support your body's natural healing process. I highly recommend this book, it really makes me mentally ready.
- Know yourself. If you feel worse after a few weeks ... mentally or physically, you might need to pull it out and that's okay. Nothing fails here, everyone is different and what works for some doesn't work for all.
Ideal for: Anyone who has an autoimmune disease or anyone who has experienced it, shows symptoms or wants to take precautions.
Premise: Paleo diet with further limitations. There is a period of removal and re-introduction of at least 30 days of common allergens: eggs, nighthades, nuts, seeds, chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, nuts, certain spices.
