When I first saw the Birch Benders Paleo Pancake and Waffle Mix bags on the shelves of my local health food store, I was very excited. I rarely see wheat-free mixes. Someone who really lacks milk or a rambling name is unknown to humans or some sort of garbage that hides behind BIG prints and calls himself paleo or, for that matter, healthy.

Have you ever wondered why the list of ingredients is so small that no one can read it !? There's nothing to hide in Birch Benders Paleo Pancakes and Waffle Mix. It clearly and boldly states that it contains 8 ingredients, all of them paleo and do not need eggs. Just add water to make a recipe on the package; these pancakes (and waffles) are really good!

As soon as my package arrived, I started seeing these delicious pancake recipes using the same mixture in my Instagram feed, shared by my friends. It was truly a coincidence, but I was excited and started trying a few more recipes. I got another bag and started having fun again.

I like cassava and coconut; and these are the two main ingredients. After years of gluten and paleo-free, I try and hold items that are baked "every day" because it tastes like peanut flour being a daily ritual with all my kitchens testing new recipes.

Most baked goods that are shared in the paleo community focus on almond flour or boiled almond flour and for good reason. This is a very pleasant change, plus I feel great about a new company that I can support by buying their mixes and by sharing kind and honest words about how I feel about their paleo mix.

Birch Benders has nine mixes to date and I can safely assume they will add more. Unfortunately only one is paleo. They make special gluten-free mixes for those who do well or who don't mind gluten-free flour sometimes.

They use brown rice, white rice, corn flour, and some buttermilk in a gluten-free mixture. I decided to taste the gluten-free mixture and it was very good. I prefer to avoid whole grains because my body is NOT compatible with whole grains because I am celiac which is unresponsive which means I am not doing well enough on a gluten free diet.

I found the gluten-free mixture to taste more like true silver dollar pancakes. As you would buy at The Pancake House, which is sweetened with sugar cane juice and natural sweeteners.

I found the Paleo mixture to have a slightly different taste than most of us who are accustomed to; not at all offensive but certainly fun. This difference in taste is solely due to the monk's fruit which is the only sweetener used in the paleo mixture.

The whole Birch Benders is a gourmet mix of pancakes and waffles that is delicious, organic, and made just by adding water - the first-add-water mixture of natural & organic pancakes & waffles. All of their products are organic, trans fat free, non-GMO and very easy to make in an instant.

I like the mixture as it is, but anyone of you knows me and how I like to play in the kitchen and offer a choice of recipes. I don't need to reinvent the wheel because these people offer so many great recipes on their site: http://birchbenders.com/recipes/.

Remember that some of the recipes on their site are not made with paleo mixes, but you can replace them with a number of their recipes. Because I like to try and make healthy choices, I came up with an idea based on a comment made about protein content by one of the people who tested pancakes. I decided to try a simple change to their basic instructions.

Below is what I did and succeeded beautifully. This is for anyone who wants to add a little more protein and fat to their morning pancakes or waffles or food after exercise, or even late-night semi-carbohydrate snacks after fasting or leto.

One third (1/3) cup (which makes two 4 inch pancakes) from a paleo mixture offers 6 grams of protein, 16 grams of carbohydrate and 5 grams of fiber. I decided to add a little protein by adding two eggs to the "on the bag" instructions they stated, mix a glass mix with 2/3 glass water (the bag says make 6-7 pancakes), to see how it tastes too. what is the texture like.

I had to add a few tablespoons of more mixture (due to increased fluid from the egg) and mix everything with my wire whisk to get the lump like people do when making pancakes. I heated my pan with ghee (and I also tried coconut oil), and cooked 4-inch pancakes. This turned out delicious!

We enjoy knowing there is a little more protein and good fat. They are a little more fluffier and it cuts the taste of the monks' fruit a little. As I said, I like monks so it doesn't matter though. Both eggs increase protein by 12 grams and increase healthy fat by adding 10 grams in total and making 3-4 more pancakes as well.

No need to change their "just water" instructions, but you know me, I like to play in the kitchen and this is a simple opportunity to see what happens in an effort to slightly increase protein.

I am a believer and supporting consumer in this mix, the company and what they do. They went out of their way to develop and incorporate TRUE paleo mixes and gluten-free mixes into their repertoire. Yahoo for me and for us! Of all the paleo products on the market, you will definitely want to have this one in your kitchen among the others.

Paleo Coconut Pancakes

Material
- 1 glass
- Birch Benders Paleo Pancakes and Waffle Mix
- 3/4 cup
- Lightweight Coconut Milk
- 4 tbsp
- Shredded Coconut unsweetened for decoration

Directions
Heat a frying pan or frying pan until medium-high heat. The pan is quite hot when the water spots hiss quickly after contact. If using a cast iron pan, keep an eye on your heat because the pan will hold the heat well and you may need to turn off your stove over time.

BEST PALEO PANCAKES (WITH CANDIED WALLET)

When I say this is the Best Paleo Pancake, I really mean it for TWO reasons. First of all, this requires limited work from you because it uses Paleo Pancakes and Waffle Mix Birch Bender. And for the sake of putting FAST on breakFAST (motto Naik & Yum), I know you want breakfast to be comfortable! And TWO, I added these pancakes with candied beans.

Candied beans that I make are considered paleo friendly. I use ingredients like grass-fed butter and maple syrup!

Now, I can easily use strawberries, bananas, blueberries, or some kind of fruit to supplement these pancakes, but, why is it no different? Sometimes, I like to be a rebel, because normal is boring! You don't see candied beans very often on pancakes, do you?

There's something about that extra crunch, which makes this feathery paleo pancake so delicious. Think of it this way, these babies taste like cupcakes topped with candied nuts. Making candied paleo walnuts is simple.

Because I want to keep this recipe paleo, I must avoid using ordinary sugar. Instead, I sweeten walnuts with cinnamon and maple syrup. The best part is that you can save the remaining overs for snacking! Just stop by the fridge for a quick take-n-go snack!

I could easily make paleo-friendly pancakes from scratch, but I was limited in time, and had to make things quickly. Birch Benders brings a wonderful array of pancakes and waffles (from protein to banana flavor). The paleo version (which I use for this recipe), not seasoned with anything specific, makes it a perfect canvas for adding creative toppings.

I'm not a fan of really sweet breakfast foods. With that, I must have the same balance.

A mixture of Birch Benders Paleo Pancakes / Waffles requires only ONE step. Add water to the mixture and that's it! For thinner pancakes, you need to add more water. For thicker pancakes, you need to add more mixture. I prefer thicker and smoother pancakes, so I add 1/4 cup more mixture and the results are perfect!

This Best Paleo Pancake (with Candied Walnut) is a "sweet" way to start the morning! This pancake is easily made with Birch Benders Paleo Pancake Mix.

Material
- Candied walnuts
- 1 cup raw walnuts
- 1 tablespoon butter eating grass I use Kerrygold
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Pancakes
- 3/4 cup Birch Benders Paleo Pancakes & Waffle Mix
- 2/3 glasses of water

Instructions
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add walnuts, cinnamon powder and maple syrup, stir well. Heat the walnuts for about 2-3 minutes, remove from the saucepan and place in a small bowl.

To make pancakes. Mix the mixture and water in a medium-small bowl, stirring ingredients. If it's too runny, add more mixture, and vice versa. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a non-stick spray. With a spoon pour, mix into a hot pan, forming a pancake.

After the pancakes start making small bubbles, you will know it's time to flip (about 1-2 minutes each side). Remove the pancakes from the pan, arrange them, and add candied walnuts.
Drizzle with maple syrup (optional)
